Jodie is a second-year medical student at the University of Hong Kong passionate about equitable healthcare. Her experience at a research lab studying the underrepresentation of East Asian populations in cancer genetics solidified her dedication to advancing population-specific care. Alongside her scientific work, Jodie is actively engaged in the medical humanities: she convenes a student-led course on literature and medicine, exploring how narrative and ethical reflection can support a more empathetic and person-centered approach to medical education and practice. She brings the same balance of science and storytelling to her role on the Ethos marketing team, where she helps amplify stories about the human experiences in healthcare. Outside of her studies, you can find Jodie trying new recipes, exploring cafes, throwing pottery, or spending time with her dog.
