Emma Paryani

Secretary

Emma is a first-year MBBS student at the University of Hong Kong. She graduated from Shatin College ESF, where she was the Vice Chair of the Student Council. She has also previously presented her research at the London International Youth Science Forum, as well as being involved in organising donations to the charity Crossroads. She is particularly passionate about advocating for holistic patient care, and the ethical challenges faced in psychiatric care. By joining Ethos, Emma hopes to engage in more discussion and research into the deep intricacies of empathy in healthcare and how we can make compassionate, patient-centred decisions in palliative or psychiatric care. Beyond academics, Emma enjoys playing the violin, reading and has also recently taken up dance.
