Valerie is a fourth year medical student at the University of Hong Kong and MS Bioethics graduate at Columbia University. During her preclinical years, she worked as a Local Public Health Officer at the Asian Medical Students' Association International and was also a student editor at Columbia University's Voices in Bioethics journal. Valerie is interested in cancer survivorship and regularly volunteers at the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society. She hopes to further explore the ethics of palliative and end-of-life care in cancer patients as well as their families, as she believes that caring for one's physical and mental wellbeing are equally important throughout their journey. In her free time, she enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, and doing sports.
